About Inventio
A unique combination
Inventio was founded in 2008 by François Heroufosse to support the development of innovation in the bioindustries.
After a long mission serving Wagralim (Wallonia Agrofood Innovation Cluster), the client portfolio gradually expanded, reaching well-established industrial companies, startups, and SMEs across diverse fields.
Since 2025, Inventio has offered all types of interventions related to innovation, ranging from strategy to the operational management of projects, including long-term managerial support and team dynamics.
Inventio masters both classic managerial tools, innovation management, and creativity tools. The focus is on the human aspect. Knowledge of the sectors and markets of the bioindustries provides real added value and constitutes a unique combination of expertise.

François Heroufosse, Managing Director
Founder & Lead Consultant
François is a chemical bioengineer by training, graduated from KULeuven. He has worked within various international groups in the agri-food sector, in R&D and innovation, or as General Manager of a subsidiary. He also established the operational team and led the Wagralim Pole for about 15 years. Throughout his career, he has specialised in Innovation Management and Creativity Management, notably at UCLouvain and UMons.
Since 2025, he has been fully dedicated to his mission of business consulting, while also holding a teaching position at UCLouvain as an Invited Lecturer.
Married and father of four children, François is also a musician (oboist) and performs with various classical ensembles.
